Telehealth - A joint project with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority
Telehealth

Four Rivers is working in conjunction with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority to provide comprehensive health care services that overcome the barriers of distance and time through Telehealth. The intention for creating several Telehealth stations within Four Rivers is to help service remote communities all across Manitoba.

Telehealth is a concept that has been long established in Manitoba and we strongly believe the alliances that we have created with Manitoba Telehealth Executives, Canada Health Infoway and the regional health authorities in Manitoba will assist greatly in enhancing this distance medicine program to benefit Manitobans in areas that do not have access to clinics or physicians. We are looking at the Manitoba Telehealth model and how we can develop a similar presence in Alberta, this concept will maximize medical resources at hand and deliver services at a distance to those in need.

More information on the Telehealth program in Manitoba is available from the Manitoba Telehealth website. www.mbtelehealth.ca

Vaccinations – Manitobans have free access to protection from seasonal infections; see our Vaccinations page for more information.

It's flu season again, shots are available to some at no cost.  Please see individual clinics for more details.
